report this adPokemon GO is currently celebrating the release of Pokemon Let’s Go and the Meltan Special Research and it seems that Niantic is also using the occasion as a reason to release a new shiny family into the game. There wasn’t an official announcement, but players around the world have been reporting shiny Magnemite encounters and sharing screenshoot proof. This means that completionists now have three new shiny models to add to their collections. Magnemite does seem to currently have an increased spawn rate in Pokemon GO, so players should have plenty of chances to encounter the electric/steel-type in hopes of gaining a shiny (or three). Although the first two forms have a pretty striking difference, some players are disappointed by the final shiny evolution. For players who want to know what to keep an eye out for, here’s a look at all three of the new shiny models in Pokemon GO… Magnezone isn’t incredibly important to the current metagame, but … [Read more...] about Pokemon GO: Shiny Magnemite Family Models
LG is breaking into the gaming market with their new high-performance UltraGear gaming monitor by hosting a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Open Bracket. Players have the chance to try out LG’s newest gaming monitors, the LG UltraGear line, as well as an opportunity to face off against members of the FaZe Clan. Though the company isn’t known for its gaming monitors, they’ve taken over DreamHack Atlanta as a means of making an entrance. Walking past their booth–which is located smack-dab in the middle of the event–it’s hard to ignore the spectrum lighting emitting off the back of each monitor, or the sharp and massive picture being produced. Their flagship model features a 21:9 display which, of course, is curved. It has thin bezzles which outline the 34-inch Nano IPS display which is capable of covering 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space at 1440p. The monitor also features Nvidia G-Sync as well as a 120Hz overclocked refresh rate to ensure … [Read more...] about LG UltraGear 21:9 Gaming Monitor debuts at Dreamhack Atlanta with FaZe Clan
THE PCG Q&AFind all previous editions of the PCG Q&A here. Some highlights for you: Which game have you played the most in 2018 so far? What videogame enemy scared you the most? Which game made you laugh the most? This weekend's PCG Q&A is a kind of sequel to one we did last year, where we asked which game character you hate. Today we more specifically focus on protagonists in games: from irritating wisecracking heroes to boring bald men or spiky-haired leads with big swords, who is your most hated game protagonist? You'll find our choices below, but we'd love to read yours in the comments below too. Samuel Roberts: Marcus Fenix (Gears of War)Back when I first started writing about games in 2007, my office was populated with other magazine writers telling me how good Gears of War was. And even though I'm beyond tired of cover shooting being the only way people make third-person shooters now, they were right: it was a phenomenally well made game with … [Read more...] about Who is your most hated game protagonist?
Bethesda has published a released schedule outlining updates coming to Fallout 76. Fallout 76 players can expect a string of updates implementing fixes throughout the remainder of the year. Bethesda stated it has kept an eye on feedback, “taken note of issues,” and problems reported by players. The first patch will drop on Monday, November 19 and will include performance fixes and optimizations. This update will be rather large while future updates “should be much smaller in size,” by comparison. That said, regular updates will always vary in size, said Bethesda. In the coming weeks, players can expect a Stash Limit increase and several quality of life adjustments on PC. “Our plan is to update the game on a regular basis with patch notes that detail what we are addressing with each update,” said the announcement. “If that changes, we’ll let folks know as things may shift as we need to balance adding features with server … [Read more...] about Fallout 76 updates scheduled through December, first patch coming November 19
