A new trailer for Grasshopper Manufacture’s No More Heroes 3 was revealed during The Game Awards 2019 in Los Angeles on Thursday night. On the livestream, Nintendo debuted the shortened trailer, but a longer trailer was posted to YouTube shortly after. (See above.) The colorful trailer features an anime-style story with one particularly weird, wacky character — “a goddamn superhero” — that turns everything into pink blobs. No More Heroes 3 was first revealed during E3’s Nintendo Direct in June. It’ll be the first core game in the No More Heroes series since No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle was released in 2010. The game stars Travis Touchdown, the hero, of course, who’s on a journey toward becoming the world’s best assassin. And he swings something not entirely unlike a lightsaber. No exact release date was given — just that No More Heroes 3 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2020. … [Read more...] about Travis Touchdown returns in colorful No More Heroes 3 trailer
Ori and the Will of the Wisps delayed until March
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is now slated for a March 11, 2020 launch on Windows PC and Xbox One. But ahead of the release date, developer Moon Studios gave fans another look at the Ori and the Blind Forest follow-up at The Game Awards in Los Angeles. The game was originally planned for a Feb. 11, 2020 release date. New footage in The Game Awards 2019 trailer showed off more of Ori and the Will of the Wisps’ stunning gameplay. We last heard from Moon Studios and publisher Xbox Game Studios at E3 2019 in June, when the developer showed off the refined side-scrolling gameplay and some quality-of-life updates, like a new save system and upgrade tree. Just like Ori and the Blind Forest before it, Ori and the Will of the Wisps looks to be colorful, clever, and stylish. Ori and the Will of the Wisps was announced at E3 in 2017. When it’s released in March, it’ll be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, which will let players access the game on both Windows PC and Xbox … [Read more...] about Ori and the Will of the Wisps delayed until March

Xbox Series X controller features a Share button
Microsoft’s next-generation console, the Xbox Series X, will come with a new controller that takes a page out of Sony’s current-generation playbook: The gamepad will feature a Share button smack dab in the middle of its face. Known simply as the Xbox Wireless Controller, the device looks almost identical to the Xbox One’s gamepad except for two elements. One is the Share button, which sits between and slightly below the View and Menu buttons. The other is the directional pad, which Microsoft described in a news release as “an advanced d-pad derived from the Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller.” The high-end gamepad was released in November and costs $179.99 on its own. The Xbox One launched with the ability to capture screenshots and gameplay, just like the PlayStation 4. Since the console came with Kinect at launch, the main way to use Xbox Game DVR back then was to say “Xbox, record that” out loud. But the PS4’s DualShock 4 … [Read more...] about Xbox Series X controller features a Share button
