BLIZZARD is going to use its annual Blizzcon shindig for "several significant launch announcements", according to a Goldman Sachs investor note. Activision-Blizzard investors should expect Diablo 4, "a Blizzard mobile title" and a "possible" Overwatch expansion to move the needle on the firm's share price, according to advice revealed on Reddit. Blizzcon is Blizzard's biggest event of the year, with approaching 40,000 fans paying £150-£570 each for two days of announcements, panels, events, and the chance to play new and unreleased games or expansions from the house of Warcraft. This year's event is also playing host to the Overwatch World Cup finals. Overwatch itself was announced at Blizzcon in 2014, had its release date confirmed there in 2015, and had new maps and characters confirmed alongside the formation of the all-pro Overwatch League itself in 2016 and 2017. TETRIS EFFECT is coming to PlayStation 4 on November 9. The mesmerising puzzler was announced just before E3, and we think it's likely to be the most immersive VR experience you have this year. Enhance, the studio behind the mesmerising take on the puzzle classic, finally narrowed the 'Fall' launch window via Twitter today. Developer Tetsuya Mizuguchi has revealed that the game has been in the works for over 15 years, since the release of Rez in 2001.Will it come to Steam, or Oculus Rift? Unfortunately not. Tetris Effect is a PlayStation exclusive, at least for the time being. There are not plans to bring it to any other platform that have been made public at this time. HALF of families are setting limits on time kids spend online and playing games, a survey has revealed, but two thirds of those then fail to enforce those limits. A further third of families don't even set limits in the first place. This means only one in five children in the UK are having meaningful limits on their time spent looking at screens and interacting online by their parents or guardians. A survey commissioned by the Digital Schoolhouse programme, organised by games industry trade body Ukie also revealed that only one in three children say their parents either user parental control settings on electronic devices or help them check and set up privacy settings on their own accounts. The delayed Nintendo Direct didn’t hold back in showing off the primary features for the Nintendo Switch Online service. The service will include a number of obvious features and bonuses for Nintendo online. Most of it showed off several of the games with online support, including obvious choices such as Minecraft, Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Mario Kart 8. Nintendo also revealed that NES games for the console will also have local and online multiplayer, allowing two players to both grab a joy-con controller for classic NES games together, or compete online with friends for high scores. Nintendo plans to expand their offerings of titles from their NES library, and featured a number of games in the presentation, such as Dr. Mario, NES Open Tournament Golf, Solomon’s Key, and Metroid. Popular Twitch streamer Guy “Dr. DisRespect” Beahm was streaming himself playing the beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops IV last night when he was interrupted by an apparrent gunshot outside his Southern California home. After the noise, Beahm stepped away from the stream for a few moments, before coming back and saying he was ending the broadcast because “someone shot at our house.” “Broke the f***ing upstairs window. This is the second shot, someone shot yesterday, at our f***ing house and someone shot again right now, connected with the house, upstairs.” Bream can be heard shoting "you p****" during the broadcast, seemingly at whoever fired the offending shot. Local police confirmed to Polygon that they had dispatched a deputy to investigate the incident, and confirmed it was the second such report from the same residence.
