Pokemon GO saw one of its biggest Gen 4 updates recently, adding not only new Pokemon and evolutions, but brand new Lure Modules as well. Pokemon GO players can use these Lure Modules to get some of the game’s most anticipated Pokemon, including the Eeveelutions Glaceon and Leafeon. However, there is another way to get Glaceon and Leafeon in Pokemon GO. Past Eeveelutions in Pokemon GO have let players use a “name trick” to be guaranteed a certain Eeveelution, with the names coming from the Pokemon anime. For example, if players want their Eevee to evolve to Flareon, they can nickname it “Pyro.” Alternatively, if they want their Eevee to evolve to Vaporeon, they can nickname it “Rainer,” and so on and so forth. Despite players being able to guarantee themselves a Glaceon or Leafeon using Lure Modules, they can also use the name trick to get them as well. Please note that the name trick will only work the first … [Read more...] about Pokemon GO: Does the Name Trick Work for Glaceon and Leafeon?
With an endless game like Pokemon GO, each type of player has their own goals and idea of endgame content. Some players care about hitting max level, some want 100% IV raiding rosters, while others may just want to complete their Pokedex. With the frequent release of new and exciting generations and creatures, that last one can be a bit of a moving target. Pokemon GO recently set a few new Pokemon lose in the wild, including new evolutions for Eevee. These all take the complete Pokedex number a bit higher and offer new opportunities for trainers to add entries to their collections. Currently, the max Pokedex available (as of May 20, 2019) is 485. In order to fill in all of those spots, players either need to do some traveling or some well coordinated trading. Sniper 3D Assassin: Shoot to Kill is a game that, as its title suggests, is about players assassinating people with a sniper rifle. The game is available to download for free through the Google Play Store and on iOS devices, with the 10 year old nephew of New York Times journalist Jamal Jordan having played the game on his iPad. Jordan was playing Sniper 3D Assassin with his nephew when they came across a mission called “Breaking News” where the goal is to shoot and kill a journalist. In the mission, a journalist bribed a cop for information and is going to retrieve a briefcase “full of sensitive documents” from him. The mission says that players should make the journalist “famous in a different way” by killing him. Jordan tweeted about the game, which caught the attention of HuffPost. Following an article written about the game and some social media outcry, developer TFG Co. removed the Breaking News mission from Sniper 3D Assassin. Sniper … [Read more...] about Sniper Game Removes Mission Where Players Kill Journalist
It has been a good week for Minecraft and its developer, Mojang. Mojang recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, announced a new AR Pokemon GO-like mobile game called Minecraft Earth and now, in a post on Microsoft’s official website, creative director Saxs Persson revealed that, since it’s release in 2009, the sandbox title has sold at least 176 million copies worldwide. “This is an incredibly exciting time for Minecraft. Ten years ago today, the game launched on PC,” wrote Persson, “Now, Minecraft has sold more than 176 million copies to-date in virtually every country in the world.” This figure covers unit sales across every platform the game’s been released on, including mobile (though maybe not counting the version available on web browsers since it’s free). It’s certainly an impressive number and could potentially make Minecraft the best selling game of all time. However, that has yet to be … [Read more...] about Minecraft Hits 176 Million Copies Sold
Eevee and its many evolutions are some of the most popular creatures in the Pokemon franchise. Pokemon GO players have been waiting on the edge of their seats for the release of Glaceon and Leafeon and, thanks to the new lure modules, the time has finally come to expands out Eevee evolution collections. Much like previous Eevee evolutions, the two new ones can be obtained via a few methods in Pokemon GO. There’s a name change trick, the use of one of the new lure modules, and the option to just roll the dice on a random evolution. Now that there are so many different evolutions and evolution methods, we thought it would be a good time to revisit the method for obtaining each different creature. Remember to keep in mind that the name change trick will only work once for each evolution. Make sure you use that guaranteed method on a high IV Eevee that you have particular plans for. For the buddy trick, make sure that the Eevee is still your buddy when you do the evolution.Vaporeon … [Read more...] about Pokemon GO: How To Get Every Eevee Evolution (May 2019)
