Community Day is a fan-favorite Pokemon GO monthly event that sees the spawn increase of a certain pokemon, with starters being one of the main focuses of the event. The next Pokemon GO Community Day event features Chikorita and is set to take place on September 22, 2018, from 10 am to 1 pm GMT and 2 pm to 5 pm EST. Traditionally, when the Pokemon evolves into its final form, it learns a special exclusive move, and Niantic has recently revealed what move Meganium learns. Like Venusaur before it, Meganium evolved during this special event will learn Frenzy Plant, an exclusive Community day Grass-Type move. While many are likely to appreciate the return of this special starter move, it does not do much for Meganium, as its meta relevancy doesn’t really change with the addition of this move.Because of its stats, Venusaur became one of the game’s best Grass-Type attackers with Frenzy Plant, but Meganium is already considered one of the weakest starter Pokemon in the … [Read more...] about Pokemon GO: Chikorita Community Day Exclusive Move Revealed
In a few days, Pokemon GO players will have their first chance to obtain the legendary psychic-type Mewtwo for the first time ever without an EX Raid Invite. While this is a surprise for sure, many will likely welcome it, as this could be some players’ first chance to wrap up the Kanto Pokedex, but those who have already obtained Mewtwo via an EX Raid will now have special legacy moves. In the legendary’s switch from EX Raid to Raid, it loses Hyper Beam and Shadow Ball, giving those players who have already obtained the powerful Pokemon in Pokemon GO something special. Of course, due to the wording, it seems Mewtwo caught via EX Raids from hereon can still learn these moves, but it’s possible that Mewtwo is soon replaced in EX Raids with a Pokemon like Deoxys.Removing these moves from the legendary’s movepool cuts it back to two charged move possibilities: Focus Blast and Psychic. There has been some speculation that the moves becoming legacy moves will be … [Read more...] about Pokemon GO: Mewtwo is Losing These Moves Soon
POKÉMON GO's regional Pokémon have long been the bugbear of completionists without a huge travel budget. That should have changed this month when it was revealed that the eggs players get when they send gifts to each other will have a chance of containing one of the four Pokémon locked to spawning specific parts of the world. Your gifted 7km eggs have a roughly 12.5 per cent chance of containing one of North America's Tauros, Asia's Farfetch'd, Oceania's Kangaskhan and Europe's Mr Mime. These odds don't change based on where the egg is from, according to data gathered from several thousand hatchings and published on Reddit's TheSilphRoad group of Pokémon hunters. This means that you'll have a better-than-evens chance of collecting the missing regionals you need after 24 eggs if you're missing one, 39 if you're missing two, and 50 if you're missing three. Bear in mind those are only the numbers when most trainers will have them all -- if you've got bad luck then it … [Read more...] about Pokemon Go regional hatch rates revealed – how many eggs do you need for a full set?
