Pokemon GO implemented a ton of exciting changes in the last few days including everything from new Lure Modules to the long-rumored release of Glaceon and Leafeon. Pokemon GO saw one of its biggest Gen 4 updates recently, adding not only new Pokemon and evolutions, but brand new Lure Modules as well. Pokemon GO players can use these Lure Modules to get some of the game’s most anticipated Pokemon, including the Eeveelutions Glaceon and Leafeon. However, there is another way to get Glaceon and Leafeon in Pokemon GO. Past Eeveelutions in Pokemon GO have let players use a “name trick” to be guaranteed a certain Eeveelution, with the names coming from the Pokemon anime. For example, if players want their Eevee to evolve to Flareon, they can nickname it “Pyro.” Alternatively, if they want their Eevee to evolve to Vaporeon, they can nickname it “Rainer,” and so on and so forth. With an endless game like Pokemon GO, each type of player has their own goals and idea of endgame content. Some players care about hitting max level, some want 100% IV raiding rosters, while others may just want to complete their Pokedex. With the frequent release of new and exciting generations and creatures, that last one can be a bit of a moving target. Eevee and its many evolutions are some of the most popular creatures in the Pokemon franchise. Pokemon GO players have been waiting on the edge of their seats for the release of Glaceon and Leafeon and, thanks to the new lure modules, the time has finally come to expands out Eevee evolution collections. Much like previous Eevee evolutions, the two new ones can be obtained via a few methods in Pokemon GO. There’s a name change trick, the use of one of the new lure modules, and the option to just roll the dice on a random evolution. The conclusion of the Detective Pikachu event in Pokemon GO saw the release of some more Gen 4 Pokemon to the game. Niantic has not only added new Gen 4 Pokemon to the wild, but it has also made it possible to expand one’s Gen 4 Pokemon collection through evolving certain Pokemon as well. Getting some of the new Gen 4 Pokemon through evolution requires players to use the brand new Lure Modules. However, other Pokemon will simply be found in the wild, and others still just need candy to evolve.
