“A Bridge-Hacking Expansion”, in detail! Here’s an update on how the Kickstarter is doing: As of the time of this writing, it was just over 90%, in under a week! Feeling really good about that. I’ve also been working hard on the Bridge Hacking Expansion, finishing up some art and doing some playtesting. Here’s some good news: it’s all going really well! Here’s some deets on it. Bridge Hacking!? In a card game??? They said it couldn’t be done. They said we didn’t have the technology. They said a lot of weird stuff—I don’t know what that was all about. But I DO know what this expansion is all about, and it’s this: making the game BIGGER, making it feel like a richer strategic space to live in. We achieve this in the typical way of just adding more content, which we’ll get to, but also by adding a whole new axis of actions, and a resource system: Bridge Hacking, and white gems. There is a pool of 10 White Gem … [Read more...] about “A Bridge-Hacking Expansion”, in detail!
Twitch has temporarily suspended the account of streamer Quqco for violating its guidelines on "sexually suggestive content or activities." The suspension arose following a weekend stream during which she was cosplaying as Street Fighter stalwart Chun-Li. As noted by Kotaku (and known by even casual Street Fighter fans), the outfit includes a thigh-high slit. But Quqco told the site that she "bought one size up to ensure that the slit wasn't too high."Quqco also told Kotaku that the suspension was due to "a group of trolls" who have been repeatedly targeting her with mass reports. "I am immediately reported because I’ve been branded a thot," she said. Quqco was previously banned in August for dressed as King of Fighters character Mai Shiranui, which she said was also the result of a targeted online campaign to report her by members of the LivestreamFail subreddit. A LivestreamFail moderator denied any connection to the most recent stream, but according to Kotaku, one … [Read more...] about Twitch streamer suspended for Chun-Li cosplay
Borderlands 3 players have made their first big breakthrough when it comes to utterly breaking end-game Legendary loot farming. Originally discovered by Reddit user Nordor222 and shared by our friends at PC Gamer, this farming method can net you upwards of one Legendary per minute provided you play on Mayhem 3 difficulty and get a little lucky. Here's how it works. This is a straightforward farm that exploits a Loot Tink spawn in Jakob's Estate on Eden-6. One Loot Tink will always spawn in the back of the estate, and if you're playing on Mayhem 3, it will pretty much always drop three to six Legendaries, or more if you really roll high. You can still use this method even if you can't handle Mayhem 3 difficulty, but playing on Mayhem 1 or 2 will yield fewer Legendaries. As shown by the image above (again, courtesy of PC Gamer), the Loot Tink is located on the western side of the map near Servant's Lift. You can sprint straight to it every time; no need to kill the Bandits … [Read more...] about Cash in on this Borderlands 3 loot farm for easy Legendary drops
The last batch of Ultra Bonus rewards forPokémon Go have gone live, including the release of Unova Pokémon. Fifth generation Pokémon have finally been added to the game with this update. Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Pidove, and Blitzle will now spawn in the wild, with Klink only available from eggs and raids, just like Shinnoh’s Shinx. Lillipup and Patrat will be released with a chance to be Shiny, too! Mewtwo will also return to raids in its regular, non-armored form, until Sept. 23 and it’ll come with the special move Psystrike. Players have already analyzed the move using datamines and have concluded that Mewtwo with Psystrike makes it the strongest general DPS in the game. Mewtwo will only be in raids until Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. ET, but it’ll have a raid hour on Sept. 18 from 6-7 p.m. in your local time. Incubators will also continue to hatch eggs in half the time and regional Kanto Pokémon will still have a chance to hatch … [Read more...] about Pokémon Go’s final week of Ultra Bonuses is now live
The future of Funko was never more evident than at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. At a two-story booth mobbed from opening to close, the pop culture toy company had an endless variety of Funko Pops; the wide-eyed, spherical statues that cater to every pocket of fandom, and skyrocketed the company into the mainstream. Exclusives from the event ranged from Teen Wolf to a chrome Boba Fett to bearded Forrest Gump to the shark from Jaws devouring Quint to Moana to H.R. Pufnstuf and the Fortnite pinata for good measure. For the time being, if a movie, TV show, video game, or culturally relevant thing exists, there’s a 90% chance it has Funko Pop. So it’s no surprise that, according to Deadline, Funko and Warner Bros. Pictures will team up for a film based on the collectible Pops. Warner Animation Group has hired Oscar-nominated director and designer Teddy Newton (Pixar’s Day & Night) to write the story with Disney Animation veteran Mark Dindal (The … [Read more...] about The CEO of Funko talks the Funko Pop movie and beyond
