The Season 12 premiere episode “Spyfall” is the first two-part episode since Chris Chibnall took over the series as showrunner. August 27th will mark the start of Season 12 when an update goes live, but Season 11 will actually end at 8 a.m. PDT on that day, two hours prior to the update’s release. Ahead of the transition into the next season, Psyonix has previewed some of the rewards that players will get depending on their rank. The rewards this year consist of different Boosts depending on where your rank landed in the competitive season, Psyonix said. Everyone from Bronze to Champion ranks will get rewards with the higher tiers getting their unique Boost as well as every reward before it. Bungie revealed a bunch of new information about Destiny 2's Season of Dawn this week, with a trailer that gives a sense of the story and a livestream explaining some of the grittier details. Bungie's Destiny 2 Season of Dawn livestream showed off a few new things that are coming with the season, including its content calendar and new Sundial six-player event. It also confirmed an item that appeared in the Season of Dawn trailer that Destiny players have been wishing was in the game for a while: Sparrows on Mercury. Destiny 2's Eververse store has always been a contentious thing among fans, as is to be expected from a microtransaction-based store that offers exclusive cosmetic items. Next week brings with it the launch of the Season of Dawn update, which sees Bungie make numerous changes to areas across the game--and that includes Eververse, which is seeing some notable adjustments in response to player feedback to make it more transparent and less annoying to use.In the latest This Week at Bungie blog post, a number of changes to Eververse are outlined. It starts out by acknowledging that certain items will still remain only purchasable with Silver--a premium currency acquired only with real-world money--as opposed to Bright Dust, which is obtainable by simply playing the game.
