By Jenna Anderson - December 20, 2018 11:14 am EST Share 10 Comments 10 The Arrowverse's "Elseworlds" crossover concluded on a major high note -- but it left a pretty major question unanswered. Major spoilers for tonight's episode of Supergirl, "Elseworlds Part 3", below! The episode saw Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) in an entirely new predicament, as Dr. John Deegan (Jeremy Davies) decided to manipulate reality in his favor once again, turning himself into an evil version of Superman (Tyler Hoechlin). Barry and Kara agreed to race around the Earth in separate directions, as a way to stop time and therefore stop Deegan from rewriting reality. Oliver knew that that option would kill the heroes, which led to him confronting The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett), asking what would need to be done to change Barry and Kara's destiny and leave them alive to help stop the oncoming "crisis". The Monitor … [Read more...] about “Elseworlds”: What Deal Did Oliver Make With The Monitor?

By Russ Burlingame - March 8, 2019 06:43 pm EST Share 18 Comments 18 Arrow will end following the conclusion of the show's upcoming eighth season, series star Stephen Amell confirmed today. The decision comes amid rumors that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), the series' lead character, will die in the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" event. There’s so much to say... for now I just want to say thank you." In recent weeks, rumors have run wild about various CW series ending or being radically overhauled following "Crisis." When news emerged that Spider-Man could be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans banded together to call on Disney and Sony to come to sort of resolution. Surely, Tom Holland's web-slinger couldn't just leave the Avengers?Soon enough, the two mega-companies came to an agreement that meant Spider-Man could stay in the MCU. While we'll never know the intricacies of those discussions, it looks like Holland played an integral part.Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night show, Holland revealed he was three pints down at a pub when Sony CEO Bob Iger called and asked him his thoughts on brokering a deal with Marvel."My family and I went to the pub quiz in our local town, and I’m like three pints in, haven’t eaten much and I get a phone call from an unknown number and I have a feeling, I’m like, ‘I think this is Bob Iger… but I’m drunk,’" Holland told the talk-show host. By Jenna Anderson - December 6, 2019 01:03 am EST Share 0 Comments 0 We're days away from the beginning of "Crisis on Infinite Earths", the biggest crossover yet for The CW's Arrowverse of shows. The four-night, five-episode event is set to take Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, and a ton of other DCTV properties to new heights, as the fate of the multiverse as we know it hangs in the balance. Even before "Crisis" has begun, the event has drawn comparisons to another franchise-defining event that debuted in 2019 -- Marvel's Avengers: Endgame. Both events definitely have a similar kind of "every hero united together" kind of feel, and the pending fates of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) feel slightly reminiscent of the endings Endgame gave to Iron Man and Captain America. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, crossover showrunner Marc Guggenheim addressed those comparisons and gave … [Read more...] about Don’t Compare “Crisis on Infinite Earths” to Avengers: Endgame
By Nicole Drum - July 20, 2019 01:42 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 Fans of The CW's Arrow were hit with shocking news earlier this year when it was announced that the popular DC television series would end after its upcoming eighth season. While fans had already begun to speculate that Arrow would end up with a massive status quo change this fall due to the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths' event in which it was then only rumored that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) would die, the news was still stunning as the series continues to be a success with a passionate and devoted fan base. Now, with Season 8 in production and the countdown to the end fully begun, executive producer Marc Guggenheim is opening up about the decision to end the show. Speaking with ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic-Con, Guggenheim explained that the decision to wrap Arrow up in Season 8 is one that came together "organically".
