By Patrick Cavanaugh - May 14, 2019 11:38 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 The future of the Star Wars franchise has undergone a lot of changes in the past year, with the prevailing mandate from Lucasfilm being the focus on quality of quantity. Before Star Wars: The Last Jedi landed in theaters, the studio confirmed that their partnership with writer/director Rian Johnson was so positive that he would be developing his own trilogy of films. After that film landed in theaters, the studio confirmed that Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss would also be developing a series of films. Given that three films have been given release dates and with Lucasfilm being coy about what details they release to the public, we can't help but wonder if, rather than develop six films at once, Johnson, Benioff, and Weiss will collaborate on one trilogy which will kick off in 2022. When Lucasfilm announced Johnson's new trilogy in November of 2017, they noted, "Johnson … [Read more...] about Star Wars: Will Rian Johnson and the Game of Thrones Co-Creators All Work Together to Make a New Trilogy?

By Patrick Cavanaugh - May 1, 2019 05:04 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 The last Star Wars film to hit theaters, Solo: A Star Wars Story, was released a year ago while the next chapter, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, won't be unveiled for another eight months. The upcoming film is set to be the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga, leading fans to wonder what could be the next film to move forward into production. Various reports have swirled about why Lucasfilm has yet to announce any release dates for upcoming productions, with a new report noting that it isn't necessarily a move of deception, but that production can't begin on new projects until construction on a new studio is completed to make the movies. Over at Making Star Wars, the claim is made that future Star Wars films will leave the iconic Pinewood Studios behind, allowing Marvel Studios productions to fully utilize the space. By Patrick Cavanaugh - August 21, 2019 04:53 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 While many of the events of Star Wars: Doctor Aphra have explored uncharted corners of the galaxy far, far away, a recent issue of the series saw a tribute to one of the most memorable exchanges in the whole franchise. In the three years since the comic series from Marvel debuted, fans have grown strong feelings for the rogue archaeologist, with Aphra becoming one of the most beloved new characters introduced since Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm. The series itself might not often overlap with the main characters of the rest of the saga, but the specificity of this homage was too obvious to ignore. WARNING: Spoilers below for Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #35 Aphra has mostly gone on her own solo adventures, though her strongest connection would be to Magna Tolvan, a former Imperial officer who has now become the latest recruit of the Rebel Alliance. Snyder recently took to Vero to share a rather ominous photo from one of Justice League's deleted scenes. The photo, which you can check out below, appears to show Victor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher) looking at some sort of nightmare sequence, in which he sees an alternate, completely human version of himself alongside his parents. VERO: Zack Snyder shares new screenshot from his Justice League cut. Victor Stone manipulated by the motherbox from r/DC_Cinematic Snyder's caption states in part that "if you go inside the mother boxes, they will f*ck with you big time" and that "that's not Father's day, that's a trick". As some have begun to theorize, there's a chance that this sequence was of Victor being manipulated by Steppenwolf and the … [Read more...] about Justice League: Zack Snyder Celebrates Father’s Day with New Look at Cyborg Deleted Scene
By Jenna Anderson - May 28, 2019 04:42 pm EDT Share 2 Comments 2 There's no telling if and when the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League could ever see the light of day, but a new photo hints at what could have been. Zack Snyder recently shared a screenshot of a deleted scene from the film on Vero, which you can check out below. The black-and-white shot appears to show Victor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher) reaching out to Silas Stone (Joe Morton), with the caption "You would also cry". Vero: New Cyborg Image from Snyder Cut from r/DC_Cinematic While we may never know exactly what the context of this shot was supposed to be, some have begun to speculate that it would have been from Silas' death scene. Seeing as one of the unused shots in the film's trailer showed Victor crying, that certainly doesn't seem out of the question. As both Morton and Fisher have expressed in the time since Justice League's debut, quite a lot of Cyborg-related content ended up on the cutting … [Read more...] about Zack Snyder Is Releasing His Justice League Cut One Image at a Time, Reveals New Cyborg Scene
