By Matthew Aguilar - December 14, 2019 10:16 am EST Share 0 Comments 0 Witcher fans have received glimpses of many iconic characters and moments from the world of The Witcher in previous trailers and clips from Netflix's upcoming series, but a new piece of concept art gives us our first real look at Kaer Morhen. Kaer Morhen is a place Geralt and Witcher fans know well, and thanks to IGN we've got our first look at the show's version of the Witcher Keep (via RedanianIntelligence). It's a bit dark, as it is briefly shown as part of the clip, but we lightened it up a bit. You can definitely see the fortress on a hill with several columns in the area below, which acts as the training area for Witchers. We can't wait to see what it looks like in the show, and you can check out the art below. For those unfamiliar with The Witcher, Kaer Morhen is a former Keep for Witchers of the School of the Wolf, which Geralt is a part of. There are other schools as well, but … [Read more...] about Netflix’s The Witcher Reveals First Look at Kaer Morhen

Uncharted: Remastered, revisited, reassessed
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, released today for PlayStation 4, has a few purposes. It makes Naughty Dog's trio of populist action spectaculars available to play on current consoles. It introduces them to what Sony estimates are the 50 per cent of PS4 owners who didn't have a PS3. And it presents these already exceedingly handsome games in a pristine, buttery smooth remaster by Bluepoint Games which, for its sheer polish and attention to detail, must go down as one of the finest game reissues ever. What interested me most about it, though, was the chance to play through the three games back to back, and reassess what was surely one of the most - perhaps the single most - influential game series of the last console generation. Between the release of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune in 2007 and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in 2011, Naughty Dog - previously purveyors of cartoon mascot romps like Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter - rewrote the rules of cinematic action gaming to … [Read more...] about Uncharted: Remastered, revisited, reassessed
Why you shouldn’t ignore Uncharted 4’s multiplayer
I absolutely loved The Last of Us. Joel and Ellie's journey from the quarantine zones of Boston to that ending in Utah ranks as one of my favourite video game tales of all time, and I'm not ashamed to admit to feeling a lump in my throat on a couple of occasions; such was the power of its storytelling. It more than earned the 10 out of 10 (reads like an Essential) that Oli awarded it back in 2013 and his review, in my eyes, is spot on - except for one major omission; he only paid lip-service to the multiplayer. This isn't really Oli's fault. When it comes to Naughty Dog, the multiplayer portions of their titles have always taken a back seat to the cinematic spectacle of their campaigns. The trouble is that my editor, and everyone else it seems, missed out on one of the best console-exclusive multiplayer games I've ever played. Factions, as The Last of Us' multiplayer mode is known, is a rare breed of tacked-on multiplayer that's both original and innovative. Rather than half-heartedly … [Read more...] about Why you shouldn’t ignore Uncharted 4’s multiplayer
Red Dead Redemption 2 Adds Long-Awaited Feature and New Story Content on PS4
By Tyler Fischer - December 14, 2019 06:06 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 Rockstar Games has revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 players on PS4 have a huge slab of new content to enjoy. More specifically, for the PS4 version of the game, Rockstar has added all the Story Mode content that debuted exclusively with the PC version for the game. Further, it's also added Photo Mode, previously exclusive to PC, to the PS4 version of the game as well. With Photo Mode, players can capture and share stunning images from the frontier. The mode includes a free-form camera, filters, stickers, text options, and more. It's a proper photo mode, unlike what the game had at launch on consoles. 0commentsAs for Xbox One players, they won't be getting any of this content until January 21. Why? Because PS4 gets all content of this ilk before Xbox One players. Anyway, you can find a full rundown of what's new in the PS4 version of the open-world western, below. It's not a ton of new … [Read more...] about Red Dead Redemption 2 Adds Long-Awaited Feature and New Story Content on PS4
