Pokemon Sword and Shield, the next wave of Pokemon games from Nintendo, are out now on Nintendo Switch. The pair of RPGs mark the first time the mainline series has appeared on a home console rather than a portable console like the Game Boy or 3DS, making them a big deal for Pokemon fans who have been following the series for a long time. In her Pokemon Sword and Shield review, Kallie Plagge wrote, "In collecting, battling, and exploring, Sword and Shield cut out the bloat and focus on what makes these pillars of the Pokemon games so captivating in the first place. You're not held back by overly complicated back-end systems or hoops to jump through; from the outset, you can start wandering the Galar region, seeing its new Pokemon, and trying out its new battle strategies with very little in your way. This leaves you free to enjoy what Pokemon is all about, and that makes for an incredibly strong showing for the series' proper debut on Switch." The game earned a 9/10 from GameSpot. If … [Read more...] about Pokemon Sword And Shield Launch Guide: Where To Get The Double Pack Including Both Games

Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 Iron Spider Armor Gets a Hot Toys Figure
By Sean Fallon - December 6, 2019 10:38 am EST Share 0 Comments 0 If you've played Marvel's Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4, you probably count the Iron Spider armor from the game as one of your favorite suits. It just looks badass. That having been said, it's not surprising that Hot Toys used the suit as the inspiration for their latest high-end sixth scale figure. The figure features a newly crafted masked head sculpt, an all-new metallic red and gold Spidey suit, three highly-detailed mechanical pincers, interchangeable hands, a variety of web accessories, and a dynamic figure stand for aerial poses. The figure should be available to pre-order here at Sideshow Collectibles as early as today, December 6th (note that the figures based on the Spider-Punk suit and the Advanced Suit from the game are shipping now). The official list of features on the Iron Spider figure can be found below. The Double-A Team: The wild ambition and magical worlds of Primal
The Double-A Team is a feature series honouring the unpretentious, mid-budget, gimmicky commercial action games that no-one seems to make any more. You can catch up with all of our Double-A Team pieces in our handy, spangly archive. I was 13 years old when I first locked eyes on Primal. It had that po-faced goth sensibility that was so popular in 2003, and meshed nicely with my personal brand of long hair, KoRn t-shirts, and regret. Our heroes Jen and Scree -- a spunky goth girl with shapeshifting demon powers, and a squat paternal gargoyle who I quietly wished was my dad -- quickly wormed their way into my heart. But it wasn't just Jen and Scree's dynamite chemistry, it was the constant anticipation of "what's next?" Each new world was a buffet of sprawling environments, terrible yet endearing cutscenes, and slapdash superpowers that were all style and no substance. Over the years, as I traded in classic games like Killzone, Blood Omen 2, and my extensive Tony Hawk collection, … [Read more...] about The Double-A Team: The wild ambition and magical worlds of Primal
Exclusive: Marc Guggenheim and Marv Wolfman Share a First Look at Crisis On Infinite Earths Tie-In Comic
By Russ Burlingame - December 6, 2019 11:16 am EST Share 0 Comments 0 Yesterday, the news officially broke that The CW's Marc Guggenheim would team with writer Marv Wolfman and artists including Tom Derenick and Tom Grummett -- "they only let us hire artists named Tom on this book," Guggenheim jokes -- for a Crisis on Infinite Earths 100-Page Giant one-shot. The issue, which will be available on December 15 at Walmart stores and shortly after that in the direct market, will fill in some gaps between the first and second hour of the upcoming crossover event, which launches on Sunday night on The CW. The pair joined ComicBook.com to talk a little bit about the project as well as sharing first look at some interior art from the two-issue story. The preview pages, which you can see below, feature a handful of shots taken from between the scenes of The CW's "Crisis" crossover, and features characters like The Ray, Kid Flash, and Felicity Smoak -- none of whom … [Read more...] about Exclusive: Marc Guggenheim and Marv Wolfman Share a First Look at Crisis On Infinite Earths Tie-In Comic
