As reflected in Vicious Syndicate's most recent Data Reaper Report, the meta has felt a little stale recently. This has just been addressed by Blizzard finally nerfing Edwin VanCleef and Boggspine Knuckles, but I've been actively hunting for a deck that feels more spontaneous and fun to play. It's fair to say that Mage's Highlander builds have been a respectable means of navigating the Ranked ladder for months, but this Dual God variant spruces up the decklist with four 10-drops (including two Old Gods), while managing to remain surprisingly competitive. … [Read more...] about Two Old Gods are better than one in Hearthstone’s Dual Gods Mage deck

Hearthstone’s Uther Lightbringer: absolute lad
I can see why they chose “lad”, as it feels like something a knyghte of olde might say, after all. And I concede that if Uther spoke in a broad East Midlands accent (as I think he should), then it wouldn’t seem out of place. But this bellowing aristocrat getting misty-eyed about having once been a “lad” really sticks out like a sore thumb, dialect-wise. Isolated from any of the regional accents where it fits in the intended sense, it registered to me as “lad” in the sense of someone who roars the word “legend” a lot, steals traffic cones, and goes on holidays to the Balearic islands to be sick everywhere. There are two skins for each turtle, one with a pseudo-realistic modern look and another prestige-track "Radical" skin with a simplified cartoon color palette. … [Read more...] about The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are in Smite now, which raises a lot of questions
