Gears of War studio The Coalition may have contributed to the development of Halo Infinite . As pointed out on Twitter by user bogorad222, the LinkedIn page of developer Adam Bodden , who worked as a level artist at The Coalition for two years between August 2018 and November 2020, mentions work on the upcoming Halo game. Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 Patch Delayed, CDPR Cites “Extensive Scope” And Recent Cyberattack

CD Projekt Red is delaying the planned 1.2 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 . In a series of tweets, the studio explained that the recent cyberattack combined with the "extensive scope of the update" means it will need additional time. "Our goal for Patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates," the studio states. "We've been working on numerous overall quality improvements and fixes, and we still have work to do to make sure that's what you get. With that in mind, we're now aiming for release in the second half of March." This update appears to have been the major patch that was previously slated for February, making the new late-March target constitute a delay of roughly a month. While we dearly wanted to deliver Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 in the timespan we detailed previously, the recent cyber attack on the studio’s IT infrastructure and extensive scope of the update mean this unfortunately will not happen — we’ll need some additional time. 1/3 — Cyberpunk 2077 … [Read more...] about Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 Patch Delayed, CDPR Cites “Extensive Scope” And Recent Cyberattack

Anthem 2.0 Reboot Canceled, BioWare Promises To Keep Current Servers Live

Electronic Arts and BioWare have decided to cease development on Anthem , following an internal review. In a statement, BioWare Austin studio head Christian Dailey says that the team has been working hard on its concepts for "Anthem NEXT," but the pandemic has had an impact on studio productivity. "I know this will be disappointing to the community of Anthem players who have been excited to see the improvements we've been working on," Dailey said in the update. "It's also disappointing for the team who were doing brilliant work. And for me personally, Anthem is what brought me to BioWare, and the last two years have been some of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my career." He goes on to say that going forward BioWare will be focusing its efforts on the Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and updates to Star Wars: The Old Republic. Anthem's live service will continue running for the current player community, without further updates.
