If you're starved for content starring anime's loudest brawlers, this Saturday's Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour will likely be something worth watching. While it uses Dragon Ball Z's definition of an hour and is actually a 12-hour long event, there'll be plenty of competitive content between top players across games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ , Dragon Ball Legends , and Dragon Ball Super Card Game on March 6. An online arena lobby will allow fans and participants to interact with each other in an attempt to create an in-person environment during the event. Fans can create a unique avatar and use the lobby emote functions to cheer the competitors on during their respective games. The recent demo for upcoming looter-shooter Outriders has been played by over two million people in just a week. Developer People Can Fly isn't resting on its laurels, however, with a significant patch set to arrive at some point next week that fixes a number of issues ahead of the game's full release on April 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Stadia. Connectivity issues were a problem when the demo launched last week, so People Can Fly is currently working on the game's backend to ensure the same thing doesn't happen when the full game launches. The developer says that while its infrastructure was ready for the raw number of expected players, the speed with which they were joining exceeded its expectations and the backend systems were unable to scale in time. That plan ultimately went sideways twice, first in a delay to early 2021, and then to the second quarter of the year. Now, however, we've got a proper (and hopefully final) release set for June, and a new trailer showcasing the skull-popping action we've all come to see. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 features a singleplayer campaign set in the modern-day Middle East (of course), with five sandbox maps, replayable missions and unlockable rewards, and "extreme-range sniping" that gives players the opportunity to put bullets into brains from more than 1,000 meters away. In the wake of the Pyra/Mythra combination character releasing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo has released a new update that buffs several characters with reduced vulnerability and less damage with special attacks. You can look at the full table of changes on the official Nintendo support page , but the majority of the changes allow fighters to not take as much damage with powerful attacks or reduce their vulnerability. New details have emerged about the character creator for the upcoming open-world Harry Potter game, with a report claiming players can create transgender characters. Bloomberg reports that Hogwarts Legacy will begin by allowing players to create a character and assign a masculine or feminine voice, regardless of what their body looks like. After making those choices, players can reportedly choose to be a witch or a wizard. What they choose will factor into which dorm they are chosen for and how other characters speak to them, according to the report. Hogwarts Legacy is of course not the first video game to allow for greater representation and inclusivity with its character-creator. What's notable here is that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has been criticized for her comments about transgender people. Rowling is not directly involved with Hogwarts Legacy , and the story of the game was not written by Rowling.
