In WandaVision Episode 7, we learned a shocking (or not-so-shocking, depending on how deeply embroiled in fan theories you've been since the show's premiere) truth about Kathryn Hahn's Agnes. Surprise! She's actually been Agatha Harkness all along, and she even gets her very own theme song to prove it. But, like many things in WandaVision, this reveal only served to raise more questions than it answered--namely: Who the hell is Agatha Harkness and why does she matter in Wanda's story? And naturally, while this is still very much a mystery for the MCU, we can look to Agatha's bizarre comic book history for clues. Agatha Harkness was first introduced in Fantastic Four #94 back in 1970, but before you break out the red string and start connecting dots on your MCU F4 conspiracy walls just yet, know that her role with the first family of Marvel was a little odd. Rather than existing as a villain for anyone in the Richards family, Agatha was a governess--a fancy nanny--to Reed and Sue's … [Read more...] about WandaVision: So Who Is Kathryn Hahn Actually Playing?
Ever since Evan Peters’ Pietro sped into Westview halfway through WandaVision , we’ve been wondering what the big secret is behind his appearance. After all, he’s not Wanda’s Pietro – and is best known to fans as Quicksilver in Fox’s series of X-Men movies. Now, we have an answer of sorts. Spoilers for WandaVision episode 8 follow , so you’ve got one last chance to look away now, unless you want part of the mystery to be ruined. So, who is WandaVision’s Pietro ? Part of the reveal was actually in a throwaway line that you might have missed among all the exposition. He’s partly a creation of Agatha Harkness. As Kathryn Hahn’s Sparky-killing witch explains in the opening minutes of her showdown with Wanda, "Fake Pietro" was her "eyes and ears" thanks to something called a "crystalline possession." What that actually means is open for more debate but one thing is clear – this isn’t the MCU Pietro because his body is elsewhere ("necromancy was out of the question," … [Read more...] about Multiverse? Recasting? WandaVision seemingly confirms the truth behind Pietro’s real identity
Angelina Bellebuono is a photographer and writer living in rural Georgia. She owns 13 goats (including Dolly, pictured above) and has written for publications including Paste Magazine and Georgia Trend. In 2010, she created an interactive photography/writing project called Goatballad: A Pasture Hymn. We asked Angelina to play Goat Simulator and write about her experience with the game as a goat farmer. This is her personal essay. A friend of a friend refers to me as goat goddess and emails me explaining that I may get a goat question from San Francisco. I live on a five-acre farm in rural Georgia. San Francisco is far away. Are there any goats in San Francisco? The email arrives. A request: write about Goat Simulator , a new-but-not-so-serious video game. That same day, three people post the game trailer on my Facebook wall. I have 13 goats. I have a traveling photography project that features the herd. I bottle fed many of them as babies and handle them all daily. They … [Read more...] about A goat farmer reviews Goat Simulator: “Goats love champagne.”
The next Fable game is being developed using the Forza engine, according to a job listing for a Software Engineer that was spotted Microsoft's website (via IGN ). Forza series creators and developers Turn 10 Studios posted an ad seeking a new software engineer to work with the ForzaTech engine, with the successful applicant being tasked with using the software to "support an open-world action RPG – Fable." The new employee will also be responsible for adding "new features like ray tracing" to the game for some added visual horsepower, which will "have a major impact on three AAA titles in development" across two other Xbox franchises. Resident Evil Village was once planned to feature a fan-favourite character from the series, before the story changed direction. This character would have popped up in disguise as a plague doctor - as you'll see in the concept art, below - before finally revealing their true identity. (There are no spoilers for Village here, but if you'd like to play through without knowing this character doesn't appear, look away now.) As reported by IGN , Village has a behind-the-scenes artwork gallery included in special edition versions of the game. This has revealed early concept art for Ada Wong. Ada was set to appear at a certain point in Village to save main character Ethan, after handily having been in the area to investigate its mysterious goings on. Ada's appearance in Village would have been another neat throwback from Village to the aesthetically-similar Resident Evil 4, in which she also appeared, skulking around a European village to investigate mysterious goings on there, … [Read more...] about Resident Evil Village concept art reveals early plan to include fan-favourite character
