Rockstar Games’ stealth survival horror series Manhunt is iconic. 2003’s Manhunt and its 2007 sequel Manhunt 2 are two of the most controversial video games of all time, but they are also beloved by fans who desperately want the developer to make a new one. Fans who have spent the last decade hoping and crossing their fingers for a new Manhunt game may be in luck. It has come to light that Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company, has renewed the Manhunt trademark. The history of the Manhunt trademark, which is listed on the United States trademark listing site Justia, reveals that Take-Two registered and renewed the trademark on May 6, 2016. According to the Justia listing, this trademark renewal should last for 10 years. You may have seen Sega teasing a new game recently, and now the company has revealed its upcoming title. It's a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital called Two Point Hospital, and it's coming to PC in "late 2018."The game is being made by a new UK company called Two Point Studios, formed by some of the ex-developers of Theme Park, Black & White, and Fable. It's a packed week of releases for Nintendo Switch. Seven new games arrive for the console this week, and there are some very notable titles among the bunch.Headlining this week's releases is Pokken Tournament DX, an updated port of the Pokemon fighting game. This version includes a handful of new features that weren't available in the Wii U title, such as new Pokemon like Empoleon and Decidueye, a Team Battle mode, and online group matches. Today’s Nintendo Direct highlighted the company’s peculiar ability to make existing games feel like an event now that they’re coming to the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo finds itself in the enviable position of not even needing new titles to get people excited about the hardware. The latest example of this trend is the remastered version of Dark Souls that’s coming to the Switch, not that the system is powerful enough to give the game much of a graphical overhaul. It will run at 30 fps at 1080p on the Switch, versus the higher resolutions and framerates the game will enjoy on PC and the other current-generation consoles. Xbox One players have a generous selection of new games to play this week. Five new titles are available for the console now, with a number still to come throughout the rest of the week.This week's batch of releases is headlined by Madden NFL 18. However, only the game's premium GOAT Edition is available right now; the standard release arrives on August 25. This entry introduces some rather big changes to the long-running sports series, one of which is the new Longshot mode. In this "cinematic" campaign, players take on the role of Devin Wade, a former standout high school quarterback struggling to make it to the NFL.
