The weekly Red Dead Online patch notes are in, and it's a good time to be dealing in Moonshine. Speaking of Moonshine sales, if you complete any sale or trader sale, you’ll net yourself a free treasure map. New nuclear arms race
Verdansk is probably going to explode during Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2
Call of Duty: Warzone players should start getting used to the idea of leaving Verdansk behind. A new report from VGC claims Activision plans to launch a new map themed around the Black Ops universe at the end of Warzone Season 2 , which began last night. This supports a growing pile of evidence in the game itself that Warzone's launch map could see annihilation. We speculated last week that Season 2 would see the end of Verdansk. While it looks like we'll be waiting a bit longer, Verdansk received a few updates in Season 2 that heavily suggest the map is about to be overrun by zombies. Right now, the map's zombie problem is localized to a single Warzone Shipwreck on the southeast corner of the map. New computer terminals found in four underground nuclear missile siloes display a progress bar that's only five percent complete. The running theory says that zombies will continue to flood into various sectors of Verdansk until the progress bar fills and the missiles … [Read more...] about Verdansk is probably going to explode during Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2
Best Shots review – Future State: House of El #1 reframes the Superman legacy as a Game of Thrones-esque slice of cosmic fantasy
Kryptonian civil war rages amongst the descendants of Superman in Future State: Superman: House of El #1 , a double-sized one-shot that pitches the legacy of Superman as a Game of Thrones-esque slice of cosmic fantasy. Future State: Superman - House of El #1 credits Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson Phillip Kennedy Johnson eschews quiet character in favor of cinematic siege warfare, drawn ably by artist Scott Godlewski. Ronan Kent holds the title of Superman here, backed up by a team that fills out the usual fantasy archetypes with a decidedly Kryptonian spin. Godlewski has fun with the visuals here. Between the Blue Lantern who wears the S as a construct, a mixed-race Kryptonian/Tamaranean and the Red-Son-meets-Warhammer vibes of the Red King, there's loads of eye candy here. Liberally daubed in thematically appropriate blue and red by Gabe Eltaeb, House of El is a slick looking book with a fluid sense of pace. However, there's just too much going on here. … [Read more...] about Best Shots review – Future State: House of El #1 reframes the Superman legacy as a Game of Thrones-esque slice of cosmic fantasy
Knack review
Sony has been saying for a while that it wants PlayStation 4 to take us back in time to a more innocent kind of gaming, but I didn't realise they meant it so literally until I played Knack, an old-fashioned platform brawler where you run around double-jumping and mashing buttons to punch goblins and robots until they flicker out of view. Almost completely linear and framed by a third-person camera over which you have no control, Knack is a series of fights that box you into small arenas until you kill all your enemies, at which point a forcefield is removed so you can continue. These fights are broken up by basic platform sections where you dodge through traps. There are ice and lava levels, along with forests where you punch owls and spiders, and in the end I was surprised the developers didn't just go the whole hog and throw in a mine cart ride. All of this is set up by a simple story about goblins attacking humans. Built out of prehistoric relics by an inventor everyone just … [Read more...] about Knack review
