One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has decided to theme their island around a Crash Bandicoot level. You can see the creation from u/thelordofgifts from the Animal Crossing subreddit just below, which was first posted earlier today on February 26. In the video, the user takes us for a brief tour around a section of their island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons , showing off various custom designs like TNT and Nitro crates. Forget Super Mario! I’m going for a Crash Bandicoot theme! from r/AnimalCrossing It's been met with an overwhelmingly positive response on the Animal Crossing subreddit. Underneath, a user suggests that, had they constructed this a little earlier in the year while it was still snowing, they could've had someone pushing a giant snow boulder behind them like they were running away from it. The time for Snowboys has sadly passed, however, as the snow has vanished from Animal Crossing islands around the world. Speaking of Crash, the bandicoot's … [Read more...] about This Animal Crossing: New Horizons island is inspired by a Crash Bandicoot course
New updates
First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Super Mario items are live, with more to come later
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons crossover with Super Mario is now live in the former game with the launch of the new 1.8 update. Once you've downloaded update 1.8 for Animal Crossing: New Horizons , which is available everywhere today on February 25, you'll have access to new Super Mario-themed items. When you check your mailbox after installing the update, you'll find the Mushroom Mural wallpaper waiting for you, which turns your house wall into a Mario course. However, the rest of the special Super Mario crossover items aren't going live for New Horizons players until next month on March 3. At this point, Nintendo will begin to gradually roll out the new items, which will continue to arrive all throughout the coming month. Contained within the crossover items are new outfits, resembling Mario, Luigi, and Peach, as well as special warp pipes. Once these pipes have been purchased, you can place two of them anywhere on your island for a quick shortcut between the two … [Read more...] about First Animal Crossing: New Horizons Super Mario items are live, with more to come later
Xbox Series X update means you’ll accidentally hit Xbox Assist less
Xbox Series X has finally fixed a tiny issue that caused an extremely disproportionate amount of frustration among hardcore players. While the Xbox user interface has remained largely consistent over the last few years, it's steadily evolved with new tweaks on the aesthetic side here and menu functionality there. One such change was adding Xbox Assist, a built-in support tool, to the menu that pops up when you access game options on the dashboard. More specifically, the bottom of the menu, which is where fans had previously built up years of muscle memory to quit or manage their games. This resulted in countless frustrated Xbox fans pulling up the menu, pressing RT to instantly select the bottom item, then being greeted by Xbox Assist when they were not in need of any Xbox assistance. As of the latest console update, Reddit users are reporting that Microsoft has moved the Xbox Assist option into its own sub-menu; it's still at the bottom of the list, but you need to … [Read more...] about Xbox Series X update means you’ll accidentally hit Xbox Assist less
Away from any Horizon Forbidden West and God of War 2 updates, State of Play was a welcome retreat from the PS5 hype cycle
I'd imagine many PS5 owners will have been able to relate to the plight of the ever-suffering Nintendo fan last night, who has sat through countless Directs hoping for more news on Metroid Prime 4 and Breath of the Wild 2 , only to be exposed to yet another montage of obscure JRPGs. Yesterday's State of Play offered a similar treatment; there were expectations for Horizon Forbidden West , Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart , and maybe even God of War 2 , but no such titles were shown. Instead, we were shown PS5 refreshes for a number of pre-existing PS4 games, such as Crash Bandicoot 4 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake , alongside new trailers for Kena: Bridge of Spirits , Deathloop , Oddworld: Soulstorm , and more. In fact, the only true PS5 exclusive to be shown was Returnal , which had already debuted a new trailer the day before, with other surprise announcements like Sifu also coming to PC and PS4. It was easy to be disappointed by … [Read more...] about Away from any Horizon Forbidden West and God of War 2 updates, State of Play was a welcome retreat from the PS5 hype cycle
Ghost Recon Breakpoint will keep getting new content through 2021
Despite a somewhat rocky start, Ubisoft is committed to releasing new Ghost Recon Breakpoint updates throughout 2021. Ghost Recon Breakpoint launched back in 2019 to generally middling reviews criticizing the open-world, the alarming amount of microtransactions, and myriad technical issues. GamesRadar's Ghost Recon Breakpoint review called it buggy, repetitive, and ultimately "a step backwards for the franchise." It didn't take long for Ubisoft to release a statement explaining why it thought people didn't like Ghost Recon Breakpoint and its plans for the future. Now more than a year later, Ubisoft has introduced several updates aimed at improving the game; some of the more substantial additions being AI teammates and Immersive mode, which gives you the ability to turn off gear score. Ghosts, get ready for the next mission. We are excited to announce that there will be new content released this year! pic.twitter.com/dtkhVV7QxF February 26, 2021 See more … [Read more...] about Ghost Recon Breakpoint will keep getting new content through 2021
