We've heard a lot of chatter about the height of a certain horror villain recently, but an unknown Silent Hill fan wants you to remember that Pyramid Head was here first. The apparently fan-owned site Silenthill.com now shows a picture of Silent Hill 2's Pyramid Head with a height diagram for scale, confirming that he is indeed nine feet tall. The message "he was first" accompanies the image, making its intended effect quite clear.Your love for Lady Dimitrescu is loud and clear. 👒pic.twitter.com/Lj4m5pN2dJ — Resident Evil (@RE_Games) February 2, 2021This is clearly a response to the popularity of Resident Evil Village's Lady Dimitrescu, a very tall vampire lady who really wants to kill protagonist Ethan Winters. The game's art director Tomonori Takano confirmed that Lady Dimitrescu is around nine and a half feet tall when you include her hat and high heels, which triggered a flood of fan jokes and interest. While the unknown fan certainly has a point about Pyramid Head, … [Read more...] about A Silent Hill Fan Bought SilentHill.com Because Of Resident Evil Village

Riot Games CEO accused of sexual harassment and gender discrimination in new lawsuit
League of Legends developer Riot Games continues to be in the news for all the wrong reasons, this time thanks to a new lawsuit accusing CEO Nicolo Laurent of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and wrongful termination. The lawsuit, as reported by the Washington Post, was filed with the Los Angeles County Superior Court in January by former Riot executive assistant Sharon O'Donnell, who joined the company in 2017 and was fired last July. In the suit, O'Donnell claims Laurent subjected her to numerous sexual comments, inviting her to travel with him and to work from his home when his wife was away, asking if she "could handle him when they were alone at his house". When O'Donnell declined, Laurent is alleged to have become hostile, limiting her workplace responsibilities and eventually having her fired after she reported the incident to Riot's HR department. According to the filing, "[O'Donnell] believes that by this conduct Laurent explicitly and implicitly conditioned job … [Read more...] about Riot Games CEO accused of sexual harassment and gender discrimination in new lawsuit
“Someone should take a stake to the script” – what the critics thought of Buffy back in 1997
It’s easy to look back and love Buffy the Vampire Slayer now, comfortable in the knowledge that it changed TV forever. But what would you have made of the first episode, Welcome to the Hellmouth, when it first aired in 1997? Well, you’d probably have loved it, because you’re handsome and have excellent taste, but that’s hardly the point. Back then, not all TV critics we so sure. The internet never forgets. NEVER."Plays like an uneasy cross between The X-Files and Clueless"The Variety review isn’t damning, but it reads more like an episode synopsis than an examination of its quality. Perhaps that’s fair enough, since the idea of a … [Read more...] about “Someone should take a stake to the script” – what the critics thought of Buffy back in 1997
