GTA 6 release date, news and rumors

GTA 6 hasn't been officially announced by developer Rockstar, but that hasn't stopped GTA 6 rumors from emerging from the depths of the internet. The latest gossip is that GTA 6 could launch in October 2023 and be set in Miami . That's from a dubious online source though, but additional details from that leak including a single, male protagonist, with the game being set in the 1970s, with a chaptered story like Red Dead Redemption 2 . Combine that with Rockstar teasing fans with the official Rockstar Support account is telling us to "stay tuned" for GTA 6 updates on Twitter and it just keeps getting more exciting. According to a Kotaku report, "a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series," is early in development as of April 2020. That report also suggested we can expect to see a smaller launch, with the game expanded through updates in the manner of an MMO or GTA Online. The development timing means expecting the game to be a PS5 and Xbox Series X title is a sure … [Read more...] about GTA 6 release date, news and rumors

Wreckfest Gets A $10 PS5 Upgrade In June

Wreckfest is headed to PS5 on June 1, publisher THQ Nordic has announced. Priced at $40 for the full game on PS5, anyone who owns the PS4 edition of Wreckfest can instead opt to upgrade the game for $10 and receive a number of visual updates that includes dynamic dirt on vehicles, improved shadows and particles, environment lighting, and higher resolution textures running at a 4K resolution and at 60 fps. It's unclear if this upgrade applies to both the physical and digital editions of Wreckfest, but we have reached out to THQ Nordic for clarification. Other quality-of-life features include improved loading times and DualSense haptic effects, and multiplayer now features up to 24 players smashing their cars into each other. Curiously, there's no mention yet of a similar Xbox Series X|S upgrade, although a recent patch did increase the frame rate and add 4K support on that version of the game. Wreckfest was added to Xbox Game Pass for PC, console, and cloud devices back in … [Read more...] about Wreckfest Gets A $10 PS5 Upgrade In June

Cyberpunk 2077 modders have made unused quests and “E3 V” playable

It's now been over four months since the release of Cyberpunk 2077, and while you may have put down your controller to wait for official game updates, modders have been hard at work creating wacky new additions and much-needed fixes. Along with significantly improving community-made modding tools (like the newly-released WolvenKit ), over the past few months modders have found snippets of unreleased content, and in some cases, actually made them playable in-game. These include unused quests and old files for V - and modders have also surfaced some interesting references to unused characters from Cyberpunk's wider lore. One of the more significant finds involves a collection of gig quests, which are normally unplayable in the vanilla version of Cyberpunk 2077. If you want to try them out for yourself without faffing around in debug mode, you now can, as modder romulus_is_here (who I previously spoke to for an article about another set of unreleased quests ) has made a save-game … [Read more...] about Cyberpunk 2077 modders have made unused quests and “E3 V” playable
