The Flash Movie Casts Sasha Calle As Supergirl

The Flash movie has its Supergirl--and the casting is historic, as Sasha Calle will be the first Latina actress to portray the character. The Flash director Andy Muschietti revealed the casting on social media, where he posted a video of himself telling the actress she'd gotten the part. Calle, who is Colombian, is best known for her role on the long-running soap opera The Young and the Restless over the last few years. In the video, Muschietti calls her apparently under the pretense of needing to ask some follow-up questions, but the actress begins to realize something is up when he opens with "Can you fly?" Calle breaks down into happy tears after the director tells her, "You're Supergirl." Inside the Batman/Fortnite crossover event with Christos Gage & Reilly Brown

Batman has already shown up in the hit battle royale game Fortnite, and now that battle has expanded back to the Dark Knight's home territory of comics. Available now in comic shops and on most digital platforms, Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #1 (of 6)  drops DC's Dark Knight onto the Island for round-after-round of 22-minute battles. But despite his memory of how he got here being wiped out, Batman is still a detective - and he's figuring out ways to get around the rules of the Fortnite world. With the first issue of this unique crossover series available now, Newsarama spoke with series writer Christos Gage and artist Reilly Brown about how they got involved, how the Fortnite characters are adapting to the comics medium, what Batman is doing to break the code of the game, and by the end of it we convinced both to give out their screen names so you too can look out for them the next time you play Fortnite. Newsarama: I sense a special kind of crossover magic with … [Read more...] about Inside the Batman/Fortnite crossover event with Christos Gage & Reilly Brown

Hearthstone Classic players are on the cusp of unearthing a unicorn deck no one noticed 7 years ago

Hearthstone Classic rewinds time to June 2014, when the card game was much simpler and closing a match often ended with Leeroy Jenkins smashing into our opponent's faces. You'd think most of the best decks had been found at the time...but that's not the case. A new contender that no one noticed seven years ago has emerged, and it's a class you probably wouldn't expect. In their first Classic Data Reaper Report , the folks at Vicious Syndicate have spotted two Shaman decks that no one was using back in 2014, but are now killing it in the Classic format. The new builds are based on the familiar Midrange Shaman archetype—which did see a lot of play back in the day—however, it's been modified to be far more aggressive. So, while Thrall is still very much rocking his original archetype, it's now showing signs of splitting a couple of different playstyles. These decks cut beloved neutrals like Argent Commander and Chillwind Yeti to maximise chances of finding a lethal combo … [Read more...] about Hearthstone Classic players are on the cusp of unearthing a unicorn deck no one noticed 7 years ago
