Last week, Reddit user The_Walrus_Wrangler joked that somebody in the Monster Hunter Rise community should take on the challenge of crafting 1,000 of the Origami Axe switch axe since its flavor text says it can "grant a wish if one can somehow collect a thousand of them." The next day, Monster Hunter streamer Ceph0rend was already approaching 200 axes crafted. Crafting one Origami Axe takes 8,250 zenny, one Aknosom crest, two Volvidon shell, and two Golden Muck from Almudron. The kicker is that you also need a Kamura ticket for each axe, which you can only get by clearing village quests. Anyone who's cleared the village campaign can tell you that you don't get a lot of these things, so Ceph0rend had to optimize the crafting process as much as possible. The time has come. t the end of this week you'll finally get to watch the new Mortal Kombat movie in theaters or on HBO Max. If you still can't wait, though, you're in luck. Warner Bros. has released the first seven minutes of the film, featuring a battle between the men who will become Scorpion and Sub-Zero, for you to obsess over. What's more, GameSpot has seen the first 13 minutes of the film, which expands on the clip. If you want to go into the new Mortal Kombat movie without having anything spoiled, you should turn away now and even avoid the clip below. The clip and scene center on Hanzo Hasashi, before he becomes Scorpion, living with his wife and children under the protection of, one assumes, the Shirai Ryu--the clan of ninjas he's a member of in the Mortal Kombat video game universe. Fortnite’s new Batman crossover comic is out today, the first of a six-issue storyline. As far as marketing stunts go, it’s not very surprising but a couple tidbits have me somewhat curious where the tale will go, and if it will add anything meaningful to Fortnite’s lore. I’ve been tough on Fortnite’s story , which feels like it’s been treading water for years now, and Batman's canonical interjection might just give this aimless narrative some real stakes, at least emotionally. Following in the reality-tearing footsteps of season 5 and season 6, issue 1 of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point drags the Caped Crusader into the Fortnite universe. A dimensional rift opens up above the skies of Gotham, and Batman follows Harley Quinn into the battle royale island. Unfortunately, it goes about as well as his visit to the Court of Owls , and he promptly gets attacked by a wealth of Fortnite characters.
