A new DC era begins this week - 'Infinite Frontier.' Spearheaded by the 64-page special Infinite Frontier #0 , it's also carried along by Batman #106 - the latest issue of longtime best-selling ongoing title in all of DC's line. Returning after a two-month break for 'Future State,' writer James Tynion IV and artist Jorge Jimenez return to Gotham and establish a cyberpunk-ish new era for the town - while at the same time showing Batman fighting for a win after losing his fortune in last year's ' The Joker War .' Spoilers ahead for Batman #106. In this week's issue, the Dark Knight is once again trying to fight crime in his town - with the help of Oracle and the newly-introduced Ghostmaker. But at the same time, a terrifying new rendition of Scarecrow is lingering in the proverbial margins, and a heavily-hyped new anarchist character named Miracle Molly is lurking in the shadows. At the same time, the looming possible future of Gotham (as seen in 'Future State') as a … [Read more...] about Batman writer James Tynion IV breaks down the new Infinite Frontier era start with #106

I wish videogames would let me paint my armies
Despite my shaky hands, lack of artistic ability and short temper, I've become a wee bit obsessed with painting tiny warriors and sending them into battle on my dining table. After a nearly 20-year hiatus, I returned to Warhammer 40,000 back in 2019, and the grimdark universe of the future has become my happy place, especially when I've got one of my approximately 100 paint brushes in my hand. Batman v Superman Deserved Its Bad Reviews, Says Alfred Actor
While the largely negative critical reaction for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has become a big story in its own right, the cast and crew have done their best to put a brave face on it. Apart from Jeremy Irons that is. The veteran British star was interviewed recently and had a few things to say about what he thought of the movie. "I mean it took £800 million, so the kicking didn't matter but it was sort of overstuffed. It was very muddled. I think the next one will be simpler. The script is certainly a lot smaller, it's more linear." Irons will next appear in Justice League Part One , which is currently in production. The film is directed by Dawn of Justice 's Zack Snyder, and will see Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Gal Gadot return to their roles of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Irons … [Read more...] about Batman v Superman Deserved Its Bad Reviews, Says Alfred Actor
