I do love a good photo mode. But over the last year, I've started to increasingly appreciate games that put the camera in your character's hands, rather than offer a free-flying omnipotent lens from which to snap the world. That's why I've fallen in love with Obscura, a work-in-progress photography sandbox that looks like a virtual camera-lover's dream come true. While currently just developer Danny Bittman's personal project, Obscura is an Unreal Engine camera plugin that's spiralled into a full-on shutterbug sandbox. As a filmmaker, taking pictures of the worlds I make is my favorite part of being a 3D artist. But most software can't emulate that sense of exploration I get with real cameras. inFamous: First Light review
When is DLC not DLC? When it's also a standalone game. That's the case for First Light, in which you play as Abigail "Fetch" Walker, a character you met in inFamous: Second Son - unless you didn't play it. This game doesn't really mind one way or another, and although the broader context of inFamous' world of Conduits and DUP will be hard to discern from this bite-sized spin-off, there's no reason it can't serve as your introduction to the series. The two issues go hand in hand, with botting leading to real money transactions (RMT), which directly leads to an inflated in-game economy. While the issue persists across all of WoW Classic, it's more prevalent on higher population servers, hence The Fresh Crusade's plans to migrate to a quieter realm. Caszhar, the brainchild behind the project, told Eurogamer "with all of us starting together, the economy will be more of an even playing ground compared to the higher/mid-size population servers." The event is due to go live on March 5 at 7 pm server … [Read more...] about Thousands of World of Warcraft Classic players are starting over from scratch
