Home • PC Game News • Euro Truck Simulator 2 • 8 Lauren Morton Contributor 5th December 2019 / 4:46PM Euro Truck Simulator 2—or as I, an American, call it: unafforable vacation simulator—has a new region dropping today. The next expansion available for one of few games to rival The Sims for number of DLCs is headed to eastern Europe with the Road To The Black Sea. The Black Sea DLC will let you drive through Romania, Bulgaria, and part of Turkey in your semi. You lot call them lorries, don’t you? Each country has famous cities, landmarks, and “regional vegetation.” In SCS Software’s words, here’s where you’re headed: “Romania, known for the forested region of Transylvania and the surrounding Carpathian Mountain range, Bulgaria with its diverse terrain and Black Sea coastline, and the Trakya region of Turkey which is the gateway to Europe’s largest city, Istanbul.” There are new … [Read more...] about Euro Truck Simulator 2’s new Black Sea expansion will take you to Turkey today

Home • PC Game News • Euro Truck Simulator 2 • 11 Dominic Tarason Contributor 10th May 2019 / 8:21PM Give it another couple years, and Euro Truck Simulator 2 and its American cousin will have mapped most of the roads of the world. Next on SCS Software’s checklist is the Road To The Black Sea expansion, adding the route to Turkey via Romania and Bulgaria to Euro Truck Sim 2. While a night-time trip through the Carpathian mountains and an overnight stop in Transylvania may sound thrilling, those dwindling profit margins prove that the world is the only vampire that counts. The new roads will be open later this year, and you can take a peek at the scenery in the trailer below. There’s a lot of environmental variety to this new route, which appears to span much of Romania (including cities such as Bucharest), Bulgaria, and down through Trakya (aka Thrace) all the way to Istanbul. Dense forest roads and mountain paths, all the way down … [Read more...] about Euro Truck Simulator 2 heads through Transylvania to the Black Sea next
Home • PC Game News • The Outer Worlds • 37 Alice O'Connor News Editor 7th December 2018 / 4:02AM Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind RPGs from Alpha Protocol through Fallout: New Vegas to Pillars Of Eternity, tonight announced The Outer Worlds, a new singleplayer first-person RPG with a space-western twang. As a space colonist who was deep frozen when their ship got lost, we end up in the arse end of the galaxy on a planet many factions are fighting over. It’s a bit of a silly one too, a bit like Borderlands but hopefully not filled with gits? Trailer below. The blurb sez: “In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship that was lost in transit to Halcyon, the furthest colony from Earth located at the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy it. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the … [Read more...] about Obsidian Entertainment announce The Outer Worlds
Home • 89 Well? Alice O'Connor News Editor 7th December 2019 / 9:00AM We’ve started opening the doors of the RPS Advent Calendar, revealing our favourite games of the year. We also declared our fifty favourite PC games of the decade. Each is missing things I’d like to see (and I already voted tactically to jam in some niche favourites) but ah, that’s a lot of good video games there. And I am glad to be getting back to writing news rather than ‘assessments’ or ‘analysis’ or ‘critique’ or whatever this feature business is. Doesn’t feel right. What are you playing this weekend? Here’s what we’re clicking on! Alice Bee I have progressed in The Star War so now I have all my force powers and a second lightsaber blade! Also, I have a black and neon pink paint job for the robit, and some sort of fox rabbit pet on my ship. So, 10/10 Also the level design is pretty good and whatever, I guess? Alice … [Read more...] about What are we all playing this weekend?
Home • PC Game News • Borderlands 3 • 2 Lauren Morton Contributor 6th December 2019 / 4:24PM Get ready for more gear and more guns. The shoot ’em up and loot ’em up Borderlands 3 has its first actual campaign DLC coming on December 19th, called Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. You’ll apparently be giving up vault hunting for Ocean’s-style casino heists by wrecking Handsome Dead Jack’s gaudy gambling den. Gearbox have released gameplay footage of the first 13 minutes of the affair. Moxxie and her crew are sending you off to infiltrate a not-quite-abandoned ship that housed Jack’s cringe-ily named Handsome Jackpot casino. Naturally it’s full of golden statues of the dead Hyperion leader and a very talkative hologram in case you forgot what his voice sounded like. As with other Jack-related stories in Borderlands, the early minutes of Moxxi’s heist seem to involve shooting enemies with … [Read more...] about Here’s the first 13 minutes of Borderlands 3’s first DLC
