CD Projekt has vowed to stick with its embattled Cyberpunk 2077, despite concern about the state of the game and the studio's ability to turn it around. Upon release in December, Cyberpunk suffered from a raft of crippling technical issues, particularly on consoles, and failed to live up to the expectations set by its pre-release marketing. The problems were so bad that Sony pulled Cyberpunk from sale on the PlayStation Store - and Microsoft slapped the game with a performance warning. Refunds were eventually offered for a limited period. CD Projekt also faces class action lawsuits in the United States over Cyberpunk's troubled debut, and potential legal action from investors. The fallout continues: CD Projekt has already shelved plans to release a standalone multiplayer Cyberpunk experience , instead opting to add multiplayer features to the existing single-player game. DLC and the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of Cyberpunk have been pushed back. And the company is … [Read more...] about CD Projekt vows to stick with embattled Cyberpunk 2077

What a Last of Us PS5 remake could learn from Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and more to justify its own existence
Rumors that a Last of Us PS5 remake is in the works at Naughty Dog have been met with a mixed reception, and it's not hard to see why. The idea of one of Sony's most revered first-party studios being put to work on a remake of a game that came out just eight years ago gives the image of PlayStation playing it safe and self-satisfied at the beginning of a new-generation – a perception worryingly familiar for those of us who remember the early years of the PS3's life cycle. Admittedly, there is some business sense in a Last of Us remake, if indeed the reports are true. With The Last of Us TV show coming up, sales data suggesting the majority of PS5 purchasers have never owned a PlayStation console before , and a potential PC port of The Last of Us Part 2 looking more likely than ever, Sony is about to introduce a vast new audience to one of its biggest first-party franchises. What better way to acclimate and onboard these players than with a remake catching them up on the … [Read more...] about What a Last of Us PS5 remake could learn from Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and more to justify its own existence

The best FARA 83 loadouts for Warzone
Looking for the best FARA 83 loadout in Warzone? While this new assault rifle may lack accuracy and power, there are certain playstyles that can make it work well. The recoil can certainly be a pain, but even that can be somewhat tamed with the right attachments—and that's where these FARA 83 loadouts can help you out. The FARA 83 originated in Argentina and features a folding buttstock and tritium sights for aiming in low-light conditions. The iron sights designed by Raven Software and present in Warzone may not be ideal, but even so, some professional Call of Duty players have said the FARA 83 is one of the best guns to take into standard multiplayer—despite its issues with long-distance firefights. The Warzone Season 2 battle pass introduced both the FARA 83 assault rifle and the LC10 submachine gun—here are the best LC10 loadouts if you need a hand with the latter. You can grab the FARA 83 as a reward for reaching tier 15, but don't worry if you haven't purchased the pass … [Read more...] about The best FARA 83 loadouts for Warzone
OlliOlli World brings the superlative skate series into vivid 3D
OlliOlli, it's an absolute delight to say, is back. Developer roll7's superlative skate series is making its return with OlliOlli World, coming to Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC this winter courtesy of publisher Private Division. From what we saw in today's Nintendo Direct Indie Showcase, it boasts all the spark and flair I've come to associate with the studio most recently behind 2018's Laser League. It's certainly a bigger, bolder game than anything roll7's attempted before, and the most obvious first point of order is how it brings the series into lavish 3D, and into a fully-realised, fuzzy-edged Adventure Time-esque world of pastel colours and wholesome character. Radland - as OlliOlli World's setting is known - looks like the sort of place you'd happily poke around for hours on end, which gets to this sequel's other bit of business. "The other pillar of OlliOlli World [alongside the move to 3D] is how can we make it more welcoming," says roll7's … [Read more...] about OlliOlli World brings the superlative skate series into vivid 3D
