Ubisoft announced The Division 2 today, but don't expect much more than confirmation of the game's existence until E3 2018. All we know right now is that it's called Tom Clancy's The Division 2, it's being developed by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Bucharest (so, the same studios that made the original, plus a few new faces), and veterans of the first game will be able to earn unique rewards in the sequel. "The Division 2 will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine that enables us to realize our ambitions for the sequel, but more importantly, we’re also taking everything we learned over the past two years and applying it towards the sequel to make sure we get it right," reads a post on the Ubisoft blog. "Part of that means recognizing your commitment to The Division. With that in mind, we’re adding a new type of achievement called 'Shields' to the game. … [Read more...] about Ubisoft is working on The Division 2, while still bringing more content to the original game

Massive is leading an effort that involves five other studios: Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Shanghai. Ubisoft has had a surprise announcement of The Division 2 leaked after a press release popped up online, seemingly earlier than planned. The announcement is fairly low-key - it's a pledge to keep The Division 1 updated for the forseeable future (more on that in a moment) but that the team at Massive Entertainment are working on a follow-up. The Division 2 will again run on the studio's Snowdrop Engine, albeit an updated version. Development will be assisted by Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Shanghai. There's no screenshots or teaser video. More on The Division 2 will be unveiled at E3 2018 in June. The Division 1, meanwhile, will continue to receive updates for the immediate future - including an Xbox One X update to polish the game's visuals. In June, The Division will be able to unlock in-game achievement Crests which then unlock rewards in The Division 2 when the sequel launches. … [Read more...] about The Division 2 details leak online ahead of announcement
We have four Ubisoft Games coming out this year and while we only know of the two The Crew 2 and Skull & Bones, there are two more Tripple A games that are scheduled to roll out sometime before April 2019. Although they remain unknown, recent game releases, events and suggestions from Ubisoft have led to a speculation that those two games could be Watch Dogs 3 and The Division 2. What we know for sure is that Assassin’s Creed Origins will be having extensive post-launch contents as very recently the news of multiple DLCs for the game came in. For now, Assassin’s Creed isn’t going to return to its annual cycle so that leaves the most likely candidates; The Division 2 and Watch Dogs 3. We know that The Division is running out of content which gives more reason to develop another iteration to the title. We also know that The Division players are speculating as well for The Division 2, we have had a few rumors floating around as well. Watch Dogs is the next most … [Read more...] about Watch Dogs 3 and The Division 2 Are Coming This Year?
