My God, I can’t express how much I’ve wanted, no, NEEDED, a sequel to the second Borderlands. Holy hell it’s been nearly six years now since I played it. And Gearbox software has started dropping hints. Fingers crossed for a Borderlands 3 reveal at the Video Game Awards 2018. Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software, the studio behind Borderlands, has been on a Twitter spree recently. Dropping hints and not so subtle indicators of something to do with the number 3. Yeah, Mr. Pitchford, I’m pretty sure the universe is actually your fanbase trying to say that we NEED Borderlands 3. Y’all know who it is. It’s ya boy Koei Tecmo. We all know them from games like Ninja Gaiden, Hyrule Warriors, Nioh, and my personal favorite, Dead or Alive. Recently it was confirmed that a new Koei Tecmo game will be revealed on December 6th at the Video Game Awards. What game could it be though? From the list above, the most likely case is a sequel to Nioh. KT’s own version of a Samurai action RPG. Nioh 2 had a tiny teaser trailer at E3 which only confirmed the sequel’s existence. The new Koei Tecmo game might not be a completely new reveal at all. But rather an update to an existing reveal. Possible gameplay showcase for Nioh 2? I sure hope so. If an email sent by Sony Brazil is any indication, major titles like Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima are getting release dates at The Video Game Awards. Brand new trailers will be shared alongside final release dates. But the most surprising announcements is going to be about Dreams. The long in development titles is getting a surprise release during The Video Game Awards. Dreams have been in development for a while now and due to its ambitious nature, we didn’t know when exactly Media Molecule will be done with it.
