Outriders is just over a month away from release, and developer People Can Fly has now released a demo for the upcoming RPG shooter. You can download and play the demo now on PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. As detailed on a recent Outriders Broadcast, the demo includes all four character classes for both single-player and co-op, and progress from the hands-on preview will also carry forward to the full game if you choose to purchase it on the same platform. There are about three hours of gameplay available to try, so you should get a good sense of what the game will be like. Originally meant to launch earlier this year, People Can Fly delayed Outriders so that more time could be spent on fine-tuning it. Outriders , the new shooter from the developers of Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm, will release day-and-date on Google Stadia alongside the other editions of the game. The release date is April 1--and that's no joke. The game had already been confirmed to launch on April Fool's Day for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but this is the first time the date has been announced for the Stadia edition. Square Enix also confirmed that Outriders on Stadia will make use of the platform's "Stream Connect" feature that allows players to watch the gameplay of their friends via a picture-in-picture window. The next Need for Speed game has been delayed to 2022. EA confirmed that Criterion Games has been called in to help DICE with the next Battlefield game, in what EA Studios boss Laura Miele calls a "bold move" to help the project finish coming together. Miele told Polygon that the fact that EA just bought racing game studio Codemasters, which will release a new game this year, made it easier to reassign Criterion to Battlefield.
